Free Deck Box Upgrade!
Hello Friends,
We have some good news to share. Dog Might Games has graciously decided to upgrade each and every Custom Deck Box (both the standard and the sleeved versions) with a red suede insert ($10 value)! This makes an already beautiful box look even more fanciful and elegant. Not only that, but it helps protect the faces of your cards when in use.
Standard Version Design Update
We didn't account for the extra thickness of the production cards vs. the demo deck, so we had to make a slight design change to accommodate all 60 cards for the Standard Deck Boxes. Dog Might Games came up with a brilliant solution that I think you will all love. They added a layer of rich Maple to the American Black Walnut and we think it looks great. It really makes the whole piece pop.
Sleeved Boxes Shipping Out Next Week
We are happy to report that we have the Sleeved version of the Custom Deck Boxes and we will be shipping those out this coming week! If you ordered a Sleeved Box and a MDG Dice Bag, you will be receiving both in the same shipment.
Dog Might Game are still finishing up the Standard Boxes, and hope to have them in our hands to start shipping out in a few weeks.

Your Extra Life For Kids Donations

On behalf of Kim and I, we want to sincerely thank all of the donors who contributed to the Extra Life 4 Kids donation pool as part of the Moebius Deck of Wonders campaign. We collected over 30 donations totaling $69. We matched that and rounded it up to $150!

We teamed up with our good friend Chris Goodlet of The Charity Boardgamer (IG: @thecharityboardgamer) who does a lot of wonderful things for the gaming community. One of which is sponsoring a precious little girl named Ziler Hawkins who suffers from Hydrodephalus.
A Note From Chris Goodlet:
Ziler was our 2019 Champion Child for 2019 and she is amazing. She has Hydrocephalus and has to make constant trips to WVU for treatments. This beautiful girl went through 15 brain surgeries in the course of her life. When Ziler enters the room, she lights it on fire. Full of energy and love make this girl one that will melt your heart. I have loved getting to become friends with Ziler and her family, going to conventions and hosting events to raise money for Extra Life. Knowing that this money helps her continue spreading joy is why I will keep pushing hard and go #ZilerStrong #ForTheKids!!!

I have three kids and they mean the world to me. They are my players 2-4 when a board game hits the table and I love every moment that we share. A Message From Our Fulfillment Team

Hello Friends,
We wanted to share with you a message from our fulfillment team, Cerberus. Hopefully this will shed some light into the obstacles we've been facing with the shipping issues coming out of China, but also the world abroud.
The good news is that shipments will start next week!
As a reminder, all non-US orders will be sent out the first wave. Once those are all out the door, we will begin sending out the US orders, which is the bulk of the fulfillment. We will make sure to keep you posted once that happens.
Shipping Update July 2020
This is an update for all clients of Cerberus Supplies Fulfillment to share with their backers and customers trying to explain some of the difficulties we’ve had this year and how they have affected international shipping of items.
COVID-19
This has been the cause of most of this year’s current problems. Initially, due to lock-down restrictions here in China, we were unable to visit our warehouse for work from the middle of January until approximately the end of March. Work and fulfillment we had planned couldn’t take place at all, though we continued to work on the admin and organization side of things from home.
Then as China eased it rules and we were allowed back to work, other countries started to lock-down. This caused international air travel to drop off a cliff. The effect this had on international shipping of small items was huge. Our main international partner EMS relies on purchasing leftover space in passenger planes storage, and with no flights, they had to purchase space that was in higher demand. As such, their prices jumped through the roof.
At this point, due to most Kickstarter creators charging a much lower price for shipping as they had planned it all pre-COVID-19, we recommended our clients to hold back on fulfilling their orders. They would have had to pay out of pocket for the extra shipping costs, which would have meant that a previously successful Kickstarter might end up losing money. We then were able to start a new partnership with SF, an international shipping company that has their own planes. They were cheaper than the inflated priced EMS, however still more expensive than clients had originally planned for. We used our ‘Dice4Masks’ campaign as a tester for using them, given that any problems would have been on our shoulders and not effecting the backers of our clients.
In June we started testing the water with a couple of Kickstarters, and started making plans based on our client’s deadlines, expectations and costs. Keep in mind ALL clients are now paying out their pockets to ship items out to backers due to inflated prices that they could not have planned for. Then in July, we had our second major problem.
USPS – Shipping Rates
A while back (not this year) an agreement was made by the International Union of Shipping Companies (which each country is a part of) after the US threatened to pull out of it, which would have caused shipping chaos. In short, previously the shipping rates between countries were set on a fixed system; US wanted to charge more in order to prop up the USPS over other shipping outlets. These new rates came into effect at the start of July (or the week before for China - the rest of the world get to change their rates in 2021) This caused the shipping price of shipping small item packages to the USA to almost triple in some cases over night. Obviously, for Kickstarter creators this totally threatens the success of their campaign, having taken money for significantly less.
To avoid this we are now pre-packing items and labeling them with USPS labels. They then are boxed up, shipped by DHL to the USA and then (with some help from amazing people) are scanned in at a post office for internal shipping to USA backers. This has cut the cost back down to COVID-19 rates, which remember is significantly more than what most backers paid.
A Short Message From Cerberus
As much as this is all out anyone’s control, we’d really like to thank all the backers and all the clients who have been so patient and understanding of the huge tasks, we’ve been trying to overcome.
We’ve had to reorganize our whole way of doing things 2-3 times and without your support and the hard work of our staff, it would have taken even longer.
Currently fulfillment is beginning (for a number of Kickstarters) but it’s a little slow due to the understandable desire of everyone wanting to be first. Therefore, to ensure we’re doing that we are working on multiple fulfillment projects at the same time. As we get through and finish the smaller projects things will move faster for the larger ones. Again we are really so grateful for everyone’s patience!

We hope this helps explain why fulfillment is taking longer, as well as explaining to backers the extraordinary circumstances Kickstarter creators are having to deal with and the extra money/time they are having to spend to make sure their backers still get their items and at the same shipping price they paid before.

Totally unrelated to the Moebius Deck of Wonders project, but we are looking for a 3D artist to render fantasy figures and objects for us, and would love to hire someone from the #ttrpg community.
3D Modelers: Send inquires to mysticdragongm AT gmail DOT com with digital images of examples of your work and your rate. If you don't have a set rate, give us an idea how much you would charge based on the examples you send us. Final output files for project should be 3DS.
